Behind the scenes at JaOcCo: when the founder becomes the model

When you build a brand, you end up doing everything yourself

Creating an independent brand like JaOcCo means accepting one simple truth: there’s no one to do the work for you. Designs, the shop, marketing, orders… and sometimes even the product photos.

So yes — over the past few days I added a new line to my CV: “part-time model”. Not exactly planned, but necessary to bring our new pieces to life.

New products, new photos

We’ve just received several important items: the Dark Angel T-shirt, the Premium Polo, and the Evergreen Soul. To prepare our upcoming TikTok, Reels and CapCut ads, we needed authentic visuals — so we improvised a small home photoshoot.

A tiny team for a tiny shooting session

Behind every picture you’ll find my wife, my phone, some natural light and a good amount of patience. I’m not a professional model (you’ll see that quickly), but the goal was to show something real: the products as they are, worn by a normal person.

And that’s exactly what JaOcCo is: a brand built step by step, with family, honesty and simplicity.

Why share these behind-the-scenes moments?

Because a brand is more than a logo and an online shop. Behind JaOcCo there is a person, a story, a family and values that I try to build into every piece.

Showing the backstage means showing the reality: no team of a hundred people working behind me. We work with what we have — and we do it with passion.

What’s next?

These photos will appear in our next TikTok, Instagram and CapCut ads. But even more importantly, they open a new phase in our communication: showing the real JaOcCo — authentic, human, and sometimes a bit awkward in front of the camera.

Thanks for being part of this journey. And don’t worry — I promise I’ll look slightly more professional at the next photoshoot.
