What does the OCS label mean?
The OCS (Organic Content Standard) label certifies the verified presence of organic fibres within a textile. Unlike the GOTS label, OCS focuses primarily on verifying the percentage of organic fibres from the raw material to the finished product.
How this certification works
OCS relies on a strict traceability system: every stage of processing is checked to ensure that the organic fibres used are authentic and properly documented. Verification is carried out by internationally accredited, independent certification bodies.
The label exists in two levels:
- OCS 100: The product contains between 95% and 100% certified organic fibres.
- OCS Blended: The product contains a blend of certified and non-certified fibres.
Why JaOcCo chose this certification
At JaOcCo, we want to ensure that the materials used in our clothing genuinely come from verified organic sources. The OCS label provides full transparency regarding fibre origin and a reliable guarantee of authenticity.
It is used in several of our Premium T-shirts and Premium hoodies, confirming the reliability of the organic fibres used.
What it means for customers
Choosing an OCS-certified garment means choosing a piece whose organic fibres have been checked, traced and verified. It provides reassurance and clear transparency about the composition of the textile.
In short: certified origin, full traceability and more responsible consumption.
